KEY CONSIDERATIONS FOR CHOOSING A UNIVERSITY:

These are some important factors to keep in mind:

  1. Academic Programs: Research on universities based on your preferred course and career goals and interests. Consider the range of academic programs offered by the university, as well as any specialized tracks or concentrations provided by the university you are thinking of.

  2. Campus Culture: We should also think about the campus culture and student life in the university. We should look into extracurricular activities, clubs, and organizations that align with our interests and values. Consider visiting on-campus classes or attending virtual classes

  3. Location: Think about the geographical location of the universities. Do you prefer an Indian vibe or a cool weather, or a hot weather? Consider factors such as climate, near by relatives, and access to industry opportunities, etc..

  4. Financial Considerations: Look at tuition, fees, and living expenses. Investigate scholarship opportunities, and financial aid options, and also look into the on-campus jobs to ease the financial burden. Take a look at your total educational return on investment (ROI).

  5. Required Exams: Before applying to Masters, it's important to research on the required entrance exams for admission. Depending on your course and the university's requirements, you may need to take standardized tests such as the GRE, TOEFL, IELTS, and Duolingo; these are very much popular with international students. Be sure to check the specific exam requirements for each program you're interested in,  Depending on the courses, there will be different score requirements at different universities. You should plan your application timeline accordingly.

  6. University Ranking: Consider the ranking of the course and the university's reputation and quality. Look at reputable ranking systems such as QS World University Rankings, Times Higher Education, or U.S. News & World Report. While rankings shouldn't be the main part of your decision, they can provide valuable insights into the academic excellence and resources available at each institution. and the value of the certificate provided by the university.

  7. Application Deadlines: When applying for postgraduate courses, be mindful of the application deadlines when applying to courses for masters. Deadlines vary depending on the university and program and the time you are planning to fly, so it's crucial to stay organized and plan accordingly. Mark key dates on your calendar and create a timeline for completing application materials, including SOPs, transcripts, letters of recommendation, test scores, and financial documents. Missing deadlines take your chances of admission, and then again, you should wait for six more months. So don't forget to watch out the deadlines of the universities

My Experience in Shortlisting the Universities

Step 1: I have taken the tests of GRE and Dolingo as these are accepted by many universities
You can ask me why only Duolingo did not take the IELTS?
Because I have a time constraint there is no time for me so I have gone with the Duolingo.
After taking the test I scored 110 in Duolingo and According to that, I have Shortlisted the universities which accept the Score of 110.

Step 2: After getting my score I started to apply to the universities, the time i was applying to the universities I was already late, but I am trying my best.
Finally, I got admitted to the Central Michigan University

This is the reason why I am explaining how important the deadline is for the applications and to get into top universities.
